Ever since I moved to Cabarrus County several years ago, I’ve loved taking my family to the Cabarrus County Fair. We are fortunate that our county fair is more like a state fair in terms of size and quality, and you can easily keep yourself occupied for an entire day.
Each year, as my son gets a little older, we get to enjoy more and more of the rides, shows, displays, and activities the fair has to offer. And don’t forget the both notorious and delicious fair food! Last year, a friend and I feasted on deep-fried vegetables, laughing at ourselves the whole time. Did I mention that the deep fried green beans are especially delicious? Hey, it’s health food!
But my favorite part of the fair is driving home, sleepy, sticky and sunburned, talking with my son about all the fun things he saw and did that day.
