Antiques, antebellum memorabilia, vintage cars, bookshops: it’s a relic hunter’s dream! Three days of events will cater to everyone from kids to car fanatics to history buffs to deal finders. Included in the mix will be a civil war reenactment, a vintage car show, an exhibit of the Hunley, the “Dukes of Hazzard” car, various educational history talks, bookshops and vendors of assorted southern products and gifts.
Tickets are $20 per person and $10 for those 15 years old and under. This ticket grants valid entry to the convention during all three days of the event. The hours of the show will be 9 am – 5 pm daily. A companion exhibit at the Concord Museum July 8 through August 23, Monday-Friday 10am-2pm, displays rare Confederate flags, firearms, swords, grenades, and more. Historic Cabarrus Association president George Patterson will unveil the exhibit Thursday, July 16 at 7 pm. Admission is free to the museum, located at 11 Union Street in Concord.
