According to a press release from Lowe’s Motor Speedway, construction of The Dragway @ Lowe’s Motor Speedway is progressing quickly. One month after ground was officially broken for the state-of-the-art facility, grandstands are going up, construction of the starting-line tower is underway and the path for the quarter-mile of concrete and asphalt is being carved from the Carolina dirt. The Dragway will be completed for the Sept. 11-14 NHRA Carolinas Nationals, the opening round of the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series’ six-race Countdown to the Championship.
